17-Year-Old Stripper Finds Bigger Stage

Though born in America, D'Amico became Australia's most famous streaker.

So it was that she showed up at the VFL/AFL Grand Final between Carlton and Richmond wearing only a coat and thongs (on her feet). Seeking free publicity, her employer funded the stunt though not her $1000 fine.

It is goo to have an on-field trick. Rather than just run about. Her target was Bruce Doull She chose him because he was the oldest on the ground, and so she felt she was safest with him. She attempted to enbrace on-field, butDoull ran for cover along with Warren Jones and Rod Ashman. Their teammate Wayne Johnston dragged her out of the centre square by her Carlton scarf. she cavorted about in a suitably impressive way until someone put a cardigan on her, arranged the tassels of her Carlton scarf over her nethers in a very attractive way, and escorted her from the field.

She was was arrested a year later and handcuffed, despite being eight months pregnant.

Johnston later said he was worried the break in play might stall his team's charge (the Blues had stormed back after trailing by 18 points).

As it happened, they kicked five unanswered goals in the third quarter; Richmond fans remain convinced that D'Amico cost them an 11th premiership.

D'Amico appered on TV's The Footy Show in 2002 while living in Perth.

In 2007-2008 intrestr in her big streak renewed when Doull agreed to re-enact the event for Toyota television commercials. When Toyota failed to find her after a year long search, comedian Dave Lawson played D'Amico's part by dressing up in a "nude suit."

Currently She is pursing a nursing degree at Charles Darwin University in Darwin. She graduated in June 2008.

D'Amico has four children and two grandchildren.
